讲座摘要:
Cognitive science began in the middle of the 20th Century with the investigation of individual human intelligence, using a multidisciplinary approach that includes philosophy, psychology, linguistics, and neuroscience, combined with attempts to recreate human-level cognitive capacities via artificial intelligence. In the 21st Century, cognitive scientists have broadened their ambitions towards understanding adaptive systems at many scales, from relatively small networks of neurons, to large groups of organisms. In this talk I will discuss cognitive models that apply from neurons, to swarming honeybees, to groups of people.
